ANDARES and LBCC Collaborate on CHW Program

We identified an important need in our community: creating opportunities for individuals to receive training and become certified as Community Health Workers (CHWs). With this vision in mind, we brought this need to Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC). After several months of conversations and collaboration, we are excited to see this initiative become a reality. On September 17th LBCC had an event to present to the community the Community Health Worker class as part of their Community Health Associate Degree. Thirty six people from the Latino community came to the event, in which the academic program was presented. We are very confident that this LBCC program will meet a real need in the community.
